Eliza Holliday Header

I am Eliza Schulte Holliday, a free-lance calligrapher and lettering artist (letterist!) who specializes in custom calligraphy, handlettering and illustration for your particular needs… calligraphically expressive, flexible, totally unique…

I create logos, brush illustrations, headlines, tag-lines, custom alphabets — all by hand — and prepare them in current computer formats for use by you or your company. Updating the arts of the medieval scribe to create calligraphy with a contemporary flair, I use the alphabet as my palette, and my experience as a designer to help you best present your graphic communications.

I began my lettering life as a calligrapher, using handlettering for wedding invitations, filling in certificates and creating retirement resolutions, but my interest in design drew me back to commercial art school to train as an illustrator and designer… and to the brush as a tool. From from book cover designs to chalkboards for restaurants, logos to expressive handwriting, I'm interested in solving  problems for people who want the personal quality and original touch of hand lettering.
